The Best Witness
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15Let’s face it, when it comes to matters of faith there are some hard questions unbelievers seek answers. Before giving a response you might begin by asking yourself “what do I believe”? Sometimes the hardest questions can be addressed with the simplest of answers. Questions like,How do you know that God is real?Do you believe everything you read in the bible? If God is real, why is there so much suffering in the world? Is there a heaven and a hell? These are only a few of the many inquiries you may be asked regarding your confidence and trust in God. You are not responsible for whether or not others believe in God but you should have a reason, an explanation for what you believe. Scripture encourages believers, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, (1 Peter 3:15)”.Your words may never be able to convince others in the existence of God but your actions, your firm conviction, the way you live your life can be a greater witness than anything you say. After all, can anyone comprehensively explain this incomprehensible love God has given to us? His love, His life giving power is experienced!!
