Precious

“Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.” Isaiah 43:4Everyone needs support and to hear words of affirmation. Affirmation encourages and helps in developing a positive attitude. It also builds confidence and aids in self-acceptance. Parents are extremely instrumental in affirming their children and God as our Father is the best encourager we can have.  His word is filled with assurance and promise:He establishes us:“God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting His yes within us.” 2 Corinthians 1:21He calls us His children:“But to all who have received Him—those who believe in His name He has given the right to become God’s children.” John 1:12We are connected to Him:“I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him—bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing.” John15: 1,5He forgives us:“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1His Spirit lives in us:“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you.”? 1 Corinthians 6:19We can start over:“So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away-look, what is new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17If you are a child of God, you never need to experience feelings of insignificance or unworthiness. You are established children of God and because His spirit lives in you, you have new life.“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:1-2
