Overcome Temptation

“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” Hebrews 2:18

Of great encouragement when going through tough times is hearing of others who have experienced them. Jesus was subject to challenges and difficulty and one of the things He was challenged with was temptation. You can be tempted in many ways, the desires of the world, the longings of the flesh, and the mental wrangling's are all ploys of Satan and sources of temptation. It was Christ who demonstrated that all can be overcome when you put your trust in Him.

The world wants you to desire status, position, and money. The flesh wants to please its appetite with food and comfort of many kinds and Satan wants to kill, steal, and destroy. Through Jesus’ temptation we learn that there is no tactic Satan can use to thwart the power of God. God does not forsake us but will come to our aid when we cry out to Him.
