No Fear in Death

“In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:52Death is an uncomfortable subject yet It is inevitable. Accompanied by a number of emotions including fear, anxiety, anger, rage, regret, hysteria, denial, shock, numbness, hysteria, detachment and more. Death is inescapable but our response does not need to be riddled with misunderstanding.Since we know death will come it is important to have those conversations with your family and loved ones. Jesus told His disciples that He was going to die but Peter did not want to here it:“Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd,and the sheep of the flock will be scattered. But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee. ”Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will. “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times. “But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.” Matthew 26:31-35Peter’s response is of someone who had a deep affection for Jesus but Jesus understood the necessity of His death and because of His love, God’s love for us, His death would bring promise to us of eternal life.Dying does not need to be scary. Take the time to have the conversations with those you love and share your faith so that when that time comes they may have tears but most of all they will have hope!
