Love Yourself
Love Yourself
““Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:36-37)’.”Did you know that when you don’t love yourself you’re negating the person God made you to be? When God tells us to love ourselves He’s not speaking in an egotistical self-indulgent way but to appreciate who you are.We all mess up but that doesn’t make you unworthy or of lesser value to God and others. Learning from mistakes is gained wisdom and experience to help others who may also experience missteps. It’s an opportunity to share how God takes our imperfections to demonstrate His restorative power through Christ.Loving yourself influences your feelings about others. Loving yourself is not about perfection but forgiveness and acceptance of the person God created you to be.
