“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).”

Let’s face it, we all have something that seeks to rob us of the love and the peace of God. While Satan is relentless, God is greater.

Satan will try every scheme and inclination(s) to pull you into his clutches which is why it’s important that you have a strategy to abort his plot and plans of destruction and it begins with humility. Humility recognizes that relative to God we are of low estate and that we need His power to overcome that which seeks to overpower us. To resist the devil is to stand against his attacks by reading God’s word, obeying God’s word, and trusting in God’s word.
