HIS Will

“We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will.” (John 9:31)

Hmmmm, so how do we translate this scripture? We are all sinners so where is the distinction? As sinners, we are condemned, sentenced to death because of our moral failure. Yet as sinners, when we receive God’s offering of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, we are given new life, the chance to start all over again. Now God sees us through the eyes of His Son and because of that tremendous act of love, He sees us as godly and He hears us when we call out to Him.
