He Will Vindicate
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord (Romans 12:19).”Where is God when things hurt, when anxiety riddles, when pain endures, when life is hard, when death looms, when peace is absent, in the midst of sickness, when loved one’s die, when falsely accused, when relief is nowhere in sight? Where is He? He’s right there. As Christians we have certain expectations about God but are they realistic? If God is present why doesn’t He do something, why doesn’t He make it better? He could have prevented the experienced trauma and yet He remains silent. Let’s not forget, He could have saved His only Son from the cross but He didn’t.Life isn’t just about the here and now but eternity; this life is not the final destination. And since we know this is not our final destination we know that a day will come when suffering will end and injustice vindicated. That is the hope that we exercise by faith in God.Sin is not excused, God will vindicate and that is the promise we have in Him.
