Hang In There

“May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!” Psalm 20:4If you started the year with specific goals hopefully one of them was to become stronger in your faith and to become more like Christ. All committed Christians strive to be like Christ but not everyone is at the same level. Some may appear more advanced than others but that doesn’t mean you’re not on the right track. We may stumble, misstep, and fall back into old patterns and behaviors but God gives us another chance. It’s called grace and mercy.God knows our limitations and realizes that it’s hard to be a Christian because being such is adverse to the world. His teachings can feel like you’re all alone and no one understands your motivation. Friend’s leave, family ridicules, some point fingers and label you as overly religious, a religious zealot, or sanctimonious. But we know that simply is not the truth.Living a Christian life is not about perfection. It’s about pursuit, pursuit of something greater than ourselves, Someone who is greater! Jesus knows how hard it is and His love and forgiveness will guide us and always give us another chance. So stay the course and trust in the love and forgiveness of God who will never give up on you.
