GOD is a Sun and Shield

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless (Psalm 84:11).”

Nowhere in the bible except here in Psalm 84:11 is God referred to as the sun. In the sun there is warmth and light, and it is His light and His embrace that keeps us and brings with it God’s favor and blessings. It’s just another good reason to bask in His Sunlight because it is where we are strengthened and become spiritually healthy.

You can never get too much of Him. It is the kind of “Son” exposure we need!
