Following Instructions

February 7, 2019You can learn a lot about faith by just observing nature. Consider those who live in seasonal climates. You expect trees to bloom in the spring and for summer to usher in long days and hot nights. In the fall the leaves begin to fall and slowly go into hibernation with the winters cold. It’s expected and you believe that this will occur. That is faith.Natural occurrences may not take much effort to believe because they happen consistently year after year. Recently while driving through an extremely dense fog it was clear that visibility was less than a quarter of a mile. You can imagine how concerning that would be. If you want to minimize any danger you should slow down and turn on your headlights and only look as far as you can see. Simple enough and no matter how scary it is you trust that if you follow the instructions that you will get through safely avoiding potential danger. Faith is like that.

There are times when life becomes overwhelming and its like navigating through a dense fog, not able to see beyond your circumstance. But if you follow the instructions (God’s Word) you will get through to the other side. That’s faith, moving ahead in what you believe."You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3©2018-2019 Mamie Johnson Ministries
