Father's Day

“Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds;rejoice before him—his name is the LORD. A father to the fatherless,…” Psalm 68:4-5aThere are many reasons to praise God. Knowing that He is always with us, that He never sleeps, that He provides, keeps His word, delivers, guides, teaches, comforts, protects, defends, rules, heals, all powerful, all knowing, majestic, trustworthy, merciful, gives grace, is holy, without sin, creator, offers salvation, restores, bestows gifts, He is good, is worthy, and He calls us His children.As disciples of Christ, we have the humble privilege to call Him Father! In Christ there are no fatherless children. He loves all of His children and desires the best for them. So whether you grew up with your natural father or not, we serve a God who accepts us, has adopted us, and loves us one and all. So celebrate the God who formed you and breathed into you the breath of life, who has adopted you into His family, who has engraved you on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16).So this Father’s Day, sing to Him and praise Our Father for the wonderful things He has done and with great expectation of the promises yet to come.
