Count Your Blessings
When was the last time you took some time to count your blessings? If you do so you may find there are too many to count; drinking water, food, transportation, health, medical care, family, safety, housing, education, life, shall I go on? There are many things to be thankful for and unfortunately there are some who have come to believe that blessings are expectations.Taking things for granted demonstrates a lack of respect for what it took for you to receive the blessings you have. As the week comes to an end take some time to reflect on all of the challenges you faced and how God enabled you to get through them and while you’re at it, take a moment to look up and thank God for the blessings we too soon take for granted!“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me,bless his holy name!Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit,who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with goodso that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.”(Psalm 103 1-5)
