Boldly Pray

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:11-13)

In the beginning of this parable is a man who came to his neighbor’s house in the middle of the night asking for bread. Obviously, it would be bothersome and who would blame the owner of the house perceiving this man as a nuisance, but this man who came seeking was persistent because he had a need, and he believed this man could provide for it. Sometimes it’s like that in prayer. We know God can do anything and yet He doesn’t seem to be listening and isn’t answering our repeated requests. God’s not deaf, and there will be times He’s waiting for you, your persistence, which isn’t to provoke God but to change you. So, pray, pray boldly, pray constantly, pray persistently because He still hears and answers prayer. #God #pray #Christ #teachustopray #Godhears #helistens #FaithInGod #Godiswaitingforyou #keepasking #keepseekinggod #Godisgoodalways #godisgood #seethesonrise
