Ask in Confidence

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15)

There is a certain posture one must have when approaching God especially when it comes to prayer. That doesn’t mean that we can’t be confident in the things we are praying about. John suggests that we can boldly approach God in prayer because although we are bold, we acknowledge the humility necessary in approaching His throne. It is the Spirit of God that gives us boldness, not who we think we are or our command of the kings language. We pray boldly because we recognize the deity of God, His greatness, and because of such, He is to be honored and praised. Boldness in prayer comes from the relationship we have with Him, confident that His Spirit is leading us into what to pray for. So pray boldly, reverently, humbly, but more than anything, pray! #SeekGod #PrayConfidently #pray #SeekGod #prayreverently #alwayspray #HolySpirit #Helistens #Godhears #Godisgood #Godanswers #SeekGod #Godhears #Godknows #SeeTheDifference #seethesonrise
