Building a Trusting Relationship with God

“For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge (Psalm 71:5-7).”

Although the authorship of this psalm is unknown what is clear is that there is a relationship with God established at an early age. That relationship led to a steadfast trust in God and an opportunity to be a witness to those who looked upon him. It is the presence of God in us that is drawing many closer to Him. Our lives are a witness to those who seek to know the true and the living God.
