Unfailing Love

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23There are times God will seem far off and indifferent. Yet the scripture says “He will never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6)”. So then where is this sense of absence and disconnection coming from? Many things can perpetuate feelings of detachment and they all are centered on our actions and behaviors.In spiritually dry times ask, “are there things I’ve done or should have done that created this sense of absence” and “what can I do to restore the joy I once had”?Knowing that seasons of doubt will occur it is His word bringing assurance and comfort:“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39For today, tomorrow, and all of the days to come His love is unfailing and will never cease. Great is His faithfulness!
