Two Are Better Than One
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)!”Accountability is helpful in eliminating actions that distract from productive tasks. Having an accountability partner (especially someone who will not sugar coat) provides feedback that can help you with decision-making and in spending time or tasks on situations that have no value. You are responsible for the decisions you make but having that sounding board can help steer you in the right direction. However a good accountability partner will not just tell you what you want to hear but they will tell you the truth. And not only that but having someone who is honest and trustworthy, someone you know will keep your confidence is vital.God is our ultimate source for accountability as the Spirit will convict and guide in all matters of life. Yet it’s also good to have someone in the flesh who you know loves you and wants nothing but the best for you.If you don’t have one pray and ask God to send that person. He knows exactly who and what you need. They may not always agree with you but they will always love you. “Two are better than one…”.
