The Best is Yet to Come

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).”Everything we know about heaven is written in His word yet our ability to comprehend it is limited. Written near death experiences like, “Heaven is Real”, “My Time in Heaven”, and “Coming Back to Life” are mere glimpses of individual encounters of the view of heaven. What does it take to believe in the existence of a place with no more pain, or death, or suffering? It takes faith. We believe in tangible things, the things we can see, feel and touch but there is more value in the intangible things like faith and hope. Placing your confidence in tangible things will disappoint but believing in things outside of yourself is at the very center of Christianity. Knowing that I have the power within me to overcome outside influences provides the strength to not only get through tough times but to live with great expectation that the best is yet to come.“However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9-10a)
