Rock of Salvation

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” Psalm 62:1-2

“Truly”? To the fullest degree, can you say as the psalmist, your “soul finds rest in God”? You can if and only if you have spent time in His presence, meditating on His word and in prayer. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, “ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
