Recognize HIS Faithfulness

“Show me, LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.” Psalm 39:4

It’s distressing to think about how long one will live but as it has been said, “death is a part of life”. Anyone who is alive today will experience this fate and although our biological functions will cease, our spirit lives on. It is what we as Christians believe and we know that while our earthly body decays, “…we have another building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens (2 Corinthians 5:1)”. King David in his prayer in Psalm 39:4 asks God not about when his life will end, but to help him in life, to work on his pride and on his heart.
