Nothing But The Truth

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Matthew 7:21-23Nothing is more important than authenticity and truth when sharing God’s word. We mustn’t be swayed by orators who tickle ears but nuance the truth of God’s word by watering it down thus diminishing the true impact and teaching of scripture. As the gospel of Matthew declares, not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter His kingdom.True followers of Christ have experienced re-birth meaning they have repented are born again accepting Christ and turning from their former life choosing to live their life for Him. They are people of prayer demonstrating unwavering belief, sharing His love with the realization to reign with Him must also suffer for Him.Promises that you will not experience hardship or suffering is not truth however in Christ there is contentment and joy. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts” (2 Timothy 4:3).“For, All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was preached to you.”1 Peter 1:24-25
