Insurmountable Situation

January 2, 2019“Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus (Luke 5:18-19).”Insurmountable or so it seemed. This man was incapable of getting to Jesus because of his infirmity. Jesus’ reputation to heal had spread and of course those who were sick and had heard of Him wanted to get close to Him so they too could be healed. Although this man was incapable of getting to Jesus some men came and helped him by lowering Him in through the roof.

You may be thinking of your own seemingly insurmountable situation. Maybe it’s a goal you set, or something that you’re trying to overcome; it could be something tragic you experienced and you just don’t know how you’re going to get through it or how you can be delivered from it. Although this man was powerless on his own, he had others who willingly carried him.Jesus’ Holy Spirit is a companion that knows and understands what you need. He can send people to walk along side you to sustain you and support you when you can’t support yourself. That is what true brother's and sister's in Christ are willing to do.“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).”©2018-2019 Mamie Johnson Ministries
