Hosanna

“The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” John 12:12-13

Celebrations allow people to honor the recipient for what they have accomplished. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, servicemen and women coming home from war, graduations, and more, they have made significant accomplishments and should be celebrated. Jesus on His way to Jerusalem was a celebratory, somber, and, most of all, a time when we realized how much God loved us! Jesus was honored, but His work wasn’t finished. His triumphant entry is the journey to the completed work God the Father assigned.
