Exercise Grace and Humility

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3

Those who point fingers at others are often trying to deflect attention away from themselves. It’s never a good idea to consider ourselves righteous by pointing out another’s sin when we too have things that God is not pleased with. Instead of finger pointing, it is a great opportunity to exercise grace and humility, giving of oneself to guide those who refuse to take accountability for their sins. When the prophet Nathan pointed out King David’s sin, he wasn’t trying to condemn him, his purpose was to get him to acknowledge his own sin. As the bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”. #see #speckinyoureye #look #humility #grace #God #mercy #forgiveness #care #SeeTheDifference #seethesonrise
