Christ: An Ever Present Help

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).”

When trouble comes we struggle to understand what to do. According to scripture we will all experience trouble but we are encouraged when trouble comes to count it all joy (James 1:2; but joy isn't the first thing that comes to mind. We want resolution, we want to escape and that escape is found in Christ. He is our help in trouble and reminds us of our need for Him.

It is in struggle we acknowledge our need for Christ, and it is in the struggle we find the peace and presence of God. “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7).”
