Be Encouraged
You’ve worked hard, put in countless hours, and yet it’s not enough. There’s no clear direction and no resources to tell you how to get where you’re going. You just know that you have to get there, that you’re going to get there. Like Abram, God has given you the plan but none of the steps that will fulfill His plan. It is a day by day or on a need to know basis. If God told us what to expect on our road of faith we might quit before we ever get started. If He had shared that there would be potholes, lane closures, mishaps, catastrophe, and upheaval we would more than likely throw in the towel and simply give up. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, giving up is not an option especially if the desire to do God’s will is your ultimate goal.Consider Elijah, it was at the pinnacle of success (killing the prophets of Baal) that he became discouraged running away and hiding in a cave. We have to remind ourselves that we will get where we’re going if we trust the process which means trusting that God will achieve His will for you.So, if you’re experiencing discouragement and feel like you’re exerting a lot of effort without achieving anything, take heart and trust God. Take a look at the successes you have achieved and get rid of any anxious thoughts. You’ll get there if you don’t quit.“So do not fear, for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you;I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”Isaiah 41:10
