The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles (Psalm 37:15-17).”
In the time of crisis, God can help us, and not only can He help us He is willing and wants to help us. His word declares that His eyes are toward the righteous and it is the righteous that He turns His ear. He doesn’t say He’s looking for perfection or perfect people but people whose hearts are for Him. So, what will it take? Confession and repentance. His word encourages us to confess our sins and He is faithful and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
God is looking for devoted followers. Those who won’t compromise their faith and are willing to give of themselves, to die to themselves to be like Him. He is seeking your surrender, to follow Him, to become His disciple. The sacrifice may seem significant, but the benefits are incomparable.
The Lord hears the cries of the righteous!
