Counting is a significant part of life as it assesses value to what you’re applying it too. When counting your blessings you are essentially recognizing the good things in your life. You see, counting isn’t only about numbers or developing math skills, but you are also developing memory skills.
Everyday you will find the blessings of God are too numerous to count but it is in counting them that we develop appreciation and gratitude for the many benefits He gives.
Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
So take a moment and bless the Lord thanking Him for the many blessings (benefits) both now and for those yet to come.
“When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.”
“Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
*Count your many blessings, see what God has done.
[*And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.]
